Kaye Posture Walker frame
The Kaye Walker has been a proven and trusted design for over 40 years and it is now manufactured in the UK by RMS. It combines medical-grade production, real-world results and a legacy of clinical trust. By tailoring the frame and support structures to each user’s individual anthropometry, gait pattern and clinical needs, the Kaye Walker achieves a unique and effective geometry.
It is recommended by therapists, trusted by the NHS and used in schools, clinics, homes and therapy centres around the world. It fosters independence and participation in meaningful activities and supports users from early years to adulthood.
This product is registered as a Class 1 Medical Device and is manufactured at our facility in the UK under ISO 13485-certified standards.
Why this design?
The Kaye Posture Control Walker is designed to reduce energy expenditure while improving postural alignment. Its open-front, barrier-free design enhances social interaction, allowing users to approach tables, desks and play surfaces with ease.
The rear bar provides proprioceptive input to the hip extensors, encouraging the next step and promoting rhythmic gait.
As the walker height increases with growth, the frame’s footprint expands, maintaining stability throughout its lifespan—an important advantage over walkers that extend handle height alone and shift the user’s balance forward.
Tailored Support with Clinical Flexibility
Positional accessories available include hip location pads (with or without a pelvic belt) and a range of forearm supports with alternative handholds/grips - are available for those who are unable to extend, or weight-bear, through their forearms.
There is the option for a fold-down seat, making this a perfect mobility walker with a seat, great for users who get tired during long periods of mobility so they can stop and take a much-needed rest.
