LifeGlider

The LifeGlider is designed for individuals who can stand and walk but may need assistance because of balance problems.

It's intended for use on surfaces that meet the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) standards, specifically those with a slope no steeper than 1:20. If you choose to use it on surfaces that don’t meet these standards, you are doing so at your own risk.  

The LifeGlider secures the user’s center of gravity to prevent falls, which in turn helps in overcoming the fear of falling. This allows users to walk more confidently for extended distances and durations, helping them build strength.

The LifeGlider encourages upright posture, helps restore proper gait, and reinforces a user's sense of balance. It alleviates weight from the legs so individuals with limited strength can regain their ability to perform daily tasks.

Securing the centre of gravity:

The body’s centre of gravity affects posture, balance, and gait. Anatomically, it’s located above the small of our backs, the second sacral vertebrae. Falls occur when the centre of gravity moves outside the base of support that’s provided by our feet on a surface. LifeGlider prevents falls by securing the centre of gravity — whether or not you're holding on.
